Question: As a gamer, how to set this microphone to the best effect?

Answer: Don't have. But I'd say probably 12-18 inches away controlling the gain to make it perfect for the audience. I speak from about 18 inches and the gain so about 60 percent. People say I sound great.

Question: Does this mic come with the pictured tripod? Also, how well does it work for two people to share, do you have to be very close to it when speaking?

Answer: It does come with the tripod. Cardioid microphones are designed to pick up noises in a certain direction. If you have multiple audio sources you may want to look into an omnidirectional model. You should be within a couple of feet when using it.

Question: I want a better mic for recording audiobook narrations, as well as my gaming vids. Would you recommend this one?

Answer: It works very very well. I have to be in on a lot of Zoom meetings and present a lot so it has to be crystal clear. This fits the bill. It has no Bella and whistles and the downside is there is no indicator light ( which I actually like). The gain control is the only thing I wanted because I speak at different distances sometimes from the mic (12 inches to tell two feet) and it allows me to adjust how loud the mic pics up. It is night and day different from the Surface mic and the webcam mic. Very high-quality sound for the casual user.

Question: Is this microphone compatible with Zoom Meetings?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Can the mic be used with PS4?

Answer: USB mic. Yes.

Question: Will this mic work on a laptop with Zoom?

Answer: Of course, this USB microphone can be used for zoom meetings on a laptop. Its flat rating is very suitable for recording vocals and will record the sound clearly.
